In North Carolina, depending on your specific location
AND ALTITUDE, you could be in zone 6a to zone 8b. In general, the mountains
are zone 6. If you live above 4000 ft elevation, you might even want
to
consider zone 5 plants. If you live at the edge of the mountains, you
are closer to zone 7a. The Piedmont and coast will be zone 7b, with
patches of zone 8 along the coast.
